X3 - Pixel Realism 64x is the logical continuation of the R3D Craft resource pack series. The main idea lies in simple designs with highlighted details. The overall style remains close to the standard one, but thanks to the increased resolution, all blocks and items look much more presentable. Some textures also have several variations that can diversify the same plains by adding more detail. Another noticeable feature is the unique leaves on tree crowns, which depend on the biome and truly differ. The resource pack also supports PBR, which allows it to deliver even higher quality.

Items

At first glance, they seem almost unchanged, but in fact, a huge amount of work has been done on them. While some textures are just improved versions of the standard ones, most of them appear in a completely new look. Updated working tools, food with clear shapes, shiny materials, and blocks with sharp edges — all this and much more awaits the player and will accompany them during everyday gameplay.

Blocks

There’s not much to add here, as the basic variations were taken as the foundation and reworked. In some places, small details were added; in others, the focus is on layers and volume; elsewhere, the author worked on light and shadow, adding expressiveness and highlights. Even flat flowers appear three-dimensional from a distance thanks to their surroundings. While some blocks have a clear structure with defined edges, others blend into the environment without distinct outlines. This applies to foliage blocks and decorative elements.

Advantages and Disadvantages

On one hand, we have a modern project with its own style, capable of impressing players with its quality and accessibility. On the other hand, we face the fact that not the entire game is affected by the resource pack. This applies to mobs and the player's graphical interface. It’s not very pleasant to see peaceful animals with base 16x textures wandering across realistic plains with 64x resolution. This creates an unpleasant contrast and significantly affects immersion. Therefore, if you like X3 - Pixel Realism 64x, we recommend finding a similar resource pack that would complement it properly and cover its weak points.
