This mod adds two unique artifacts that will help you in combat and diversify the standard fighting mechanics. One horn attacks an area, while the other creates a “Guardian” sound shockwave that allows you to deal significantly more damage to enemies. To clarify how this system works, here is a detailed look at both artifacts:

• The first horn — deals 8 damage and has a 10-second cooldown. The attack affects an area with a 16-block range;
• The second horn — deals 12 damage, has a 15-second cooldown, but the range is only 3.5 blocks.

To use either artifact, the player must have experience points! The mod uses an XP system, deducting 55 units of experience per horn use. You can hold Shift in your inventory to see tooltips for each horn, which include XP information. When installing and using Sculk Horn, you should be aware of several features:

• Both artifacts share a cooldown — using one horn triggers cooldown on the other, so you cannot alternate them without waiting;
• It’s important to consider the effective range of each horn, or else you will waste energy;
• You need to keep enough experience points, as 55 XP is deducted every time you use a horn;
• By spending experience, you can deal heavy damage to nearby mobs and also boost your character’s speed for a short time;
• Using either horn triggers colorful visual effects that help you understand the attack range;
• When using the Sculk Horn Distance, speed is not increased. But the Sculk Horn Area grants a speed boost to the player.

The mod includes a separate configuration file allowing you to tweak some parameters for these items. Overall, it’s a solid mod that lets you diversify the vanilla gameplay and add new mechanics for dealing damage to groups of mobs or players. These artifacts are especially useful in mass battles because their shockwaves damage multiple enemies at once. But remember, your character should wear decent enchanted armor, as mobs can attack from behind or in front while you activate the horn.

Each horn has unique abilities. If you forget their range or damage, just hover over the item in your inventory and press Shift to get detailed info.
