Searching for any structures in Minecraft is a serious task for every player, both beginners and experienced ones. Mostly we only know the biomes where certain locations appear, but we constantly have to move between them to find specific structures. And if this option doesn’t suit you, you can add paths to the game that connect all the main dungeons and locations generated on the map. This not only looks aesthetically pleasing in a new world but also helps any player, both in single-player mode and on a multiplayer server. That’s why we recommend you pay attention to the mod from this review.
The RoadArchitect add-on adds full-fledged paths in Minecraft, stretching between all available structures in the game world. You just need to load this mod into your build and regenerate the map so that all the paths are automatically placed between points. It mainly supports the vanilla version of the game, and if you add some third-party add-ons for integrating different structures, keep this in mind. But actually there are way more options here than you might imagine, so it’s time to study the full material.
After installing the mod, paths appear throughout all the biomes, connecting all structures (most of them) in the vanilla version of the game. And in each area it has its own style: for example, one variant in the desert, another in the savanna, and a third in the forests. The developer tried to make interesting paths for all biomes so that you can quickly understand where you are at the moment. A simple and clear mechanic for players, which also fits aesthetically well into the overall Minecraft gameplay. And if you are still undecided whether to install this mod in your build or not, we recommend checking all the advantages of this add-on, because there are really many of them.
· Smart scanning system. When creating paths, not just some random generation principle is used. A special scanning technology of terrain and biomes has been added to make clean paths that blend with the game world as much as possible, match the locations, and connect with each other without gaps;
· Additional types of decorations. Besides the paths, there are also accompanying decorative elements along the way (lamps, small details, fences), so at night they can be illuminated;
· Different styles. For such biomes as savanna, desert, forests, and many other territories, various styles of paths are applied (made of stone blocks, desert blocks, brickwork, and other materials);
· Detailed customization. If desired, the player can go into the mod settings using a separate section in the game and change many parameters (distance for searching the nearest structures, adding new dungeons or locations to be connected, installing lamps, and many other options). A huge list of parameters is available, and only you decide how it will look;
· Minimal load. Using the RoadArchitect mod does not create any particular load on the Minecraft launcher, but it will take more time when generating a new map since the system analyzes all structures depending on the settings and connects them with paths;
· Localization. Several languages are available, which can be used for translation inside this mod, so every player can choose the option suitable for them;
· Constant updates. Considering the world generation in the game, you cannot be completely sure that all the paths will be straight and beautiful, and the developer of this mod takes into account the bugs found, fixing them in later versions of the game.
Such mods deserve to exist because they provide quite an interesting and important function. It doesn’t particularly affect your survival, doesn’t break the balance of vanilla Minecraft, but aesthetically the world changes a lot. And if in the settings you enable path generation between all popular structures (by default it only works for all villages of peaceful villagers), you will see how much the overall perception of survival and movement through all biomes changes. Lighting at night, beautiful paths, the ability to quickly find the way to the nearest structure — and this is only part of the advantages of this mod.
By default this add-on supports structures from the vanilla world, but you can try adding IDs of locations that are added by third-party mods.
