In the Minecraft game world, you can create almost any kind of items imaginable, but this mostly applies to modded versions. If we talk about the vanilla survival mode, there is a specific list of available blocks and items with which you can interact, craft, and learn recipes. However, over time players may accumulate many extra items that are of no use. For example, you made many torches or slabs, doors. What to do in this case? Only throw them away! And all the spent resources are lost forever. In this article, we will tell you about a unique tool that adds a new mechanic to the Minecraft game world, changing many aspects of the game!
The ResetTable mod allows you to craft a unique workbench that can "disassemble" items and restore all the resources spent on crafting them. For example, you previously made several swords and spent sticks, diamonds. How to get them back? You just need to make a unique workbench from this mod to break everything down into components and return all the spent resources. Cool mechanic, right? And this system works with almost all elements available in Minecraft, and this mod can work both in single-player mode and on servers so that other players also have this opportunity!
Throughout your survival, you most likely accumulate various items and blocks that take up extra space. If there was a way to recycle them and get back the spent resources, would you use such an option? Now, after installing this mod, Minecraft will have a new mechanic that literally allows you to "disassemble" an item into its components. These are all the resources you spent on crafting. For example, if a player made a diamond chestplate and spent 8 units of diamonds, with the new workbench, they can get them back in full. And in fact, this mechanic opens a huge number of possibilities for all players!
To create the new workbench, you will need to combine a regular one with one block of obsidian. We added the crafting recipe in this article, but overall it’s really simple, so you will remember how to make the ResetTable in the game immediately. The block itself is dark-colored, and it has a grid on top, resembling the one used in crafting various items. It looks unusual, and such an object can be used as decoration in some room. To start the process of disassembling items into components, you need to place the item in the right slot. On the left, a list of all available elements will automatically appear. Just click on them to collect them in your inventory.
The only drawback of this item is that the content of the disassembled item immediately disappears. For example, you put the chestplate into the workbench. It immediately disappears on the right side of the workbench, and only on the left can you take all the items that were used to create this item. Not very convenient, but generally acceptable. The most important thing is that the player receives all the resources spent on this element, although some mods use a kind of commission, for example, 30-50%. This turns out to be a very cool and useful item for the game, allowing you to return all the contents literally in a couple of steps at any time. And this opens a huge number of possibilities, which we describe below:
· Restoring spent resources. If you crafted many items and don't need them, now you can get your resources back. Previously, in vanilla Minecraft, you would have had to just throw them away;
· Creating new schemes. Thanks to this mechanic, players can create automated mechanisms for recycling elements. Just throw them into a certain chest and get all the resources at the output;
· Recycling items found in dungeons. This concerns not only treasure chests but also villagers. You remember that you can buy diamond armor, tools, weapons from them with a discount, right? And if earlier players just stored these items, now they can get valuable resources and metals from them;
· Help on servers with griefing. If you install this mod on projects where griefing of other players’ constructions is allowed, all found items can be recycled to get valuable materials.
Important to know! If you put an item in the workbench and see the message "The recipe doesn’t seem to edit", it means that this item cannot be recycled because it was obtained in a non-standard way or originally had no crafting recipe. Below in the screenshot you can see an example.
There are many development options, although in general this is a small mod that introduces only one small mechanic into the game. But it is very important for the game world. It is not quite clear why Mojang developers have not added anything like this to their project yet. Now you can recycle and return resources spent on crafting at any time. Even if a player accidentally made many of some elements, it’s easy to "disassemble" them and return all spent materials! If you want to test compatibility with other mods, you need to install each separately and test.
