Items That Were Planned in Minecraft

How long have you been playing Minecraft? Even if you have been active in this project for 5-10 years, most likely you didn’t suspect that the developers added a huge number of items and various mechanics that never made it to release. Most of these elements remained hidden in the game, and later, they were completely removed by the developers in new versions. That is why various mods for Minecraft started to appear, where you can see what was added in past versions and what content we never saw in the game releases. If you are interested, we recommend reading our review to the end, as here we list everything that might be interesting.

The Rediscovered modification adds to Minecraft all the items and mechanics that never "saw the light" and were removed by the developers. These could have been some test options, mechanics, items, hidden elements. But almost all of them eventually disappeared from the game. We tried to tell about the most significant and interesting options in this mod that you definitely need to know about. And if you would like to play with them, interact with them, then this mod will help you with that. Almost all elements can be used, crafted, and various mechanical devices and logic circuits can be created from them.

During the existence of the Minecraft project, the developers added a huge number of different items and mechanics, and in this material, we told about the most interesting from the whole list. But actually, there are very many of them, so the creator of the Rediscovered mod added a really large number of items from that time:

· Sakura. Cherry trees have already appeared in Minecraft in one of the latest versions, but for a long time they were only a developer’s fantasy, so such plants could only be found in third-party add-ons;

· Crying Obsidian. This block could originally be crafted in the game, and it was used for player spawning. At the moment — it is only a decorative element;

· Gears. If the developers had left this item in the game world, there would be many more devices and mechanisms. They can send signals to redstone and blocks standing nearby;

· Soil slabs. Approximately the same as stone and wooden slabs, but made from dirt;

· Lanterns. The developers wanted to make lanterns using glowstone dust and iron. Quite a convenient and useful item for the game world, which could replace standard torches or complement their functionality;

· Spikes. Another unique item in the game world that could be used for traps, for example, as fortifications on walls or simply on the ground;

· Arrow quiver. An interesting artifact in the game, with which one could pull the bowstring much faster;

· New types of potions. Some of them are already available in the game, but most were never added in the releases;

· Ruby. If the Minecraft developers decided to add a new material to the game world, it would be ruby. Here there is both ore and a valuable resource obtained from this block. It looks colorful and unusual, and is an alternative to emerald, as it completely repeats the shapes of this material;

· Pigmen. New mobs in Minecraft that can appear in a separate dimension. There are regular creatures that immediately attack the player, and also merchants that are by default neutral to your character;

· Red dragon. Did you think you defeated the dragon in the End and that was the end? After installing the Rediscovered mod, you can fight one more creature of the same type. It spawns in separate Minecraft biomes and can drop a new egg;

· Unique characters. You could see Black Steve and several other beautiful characters in the village that spawns in a new dimension (which we talk about in the next paragraph). They look much nicer than all available NPCs;

· New dimension "Floating Islands". You can get here by chance when the character goes to sleep. As soon as the player is in this dimension, they will fight pigmen, trade with NPCs, and the player will need to find a pillow to return back!

An interesting list of options and innovations that could have appeared in the vanilla version of the game, right? These are really all the planned but unrealized features in Minecraft that the developers thought about. Most of them were found in the game code by enthusiasts and third-party mod creators, so all this grew into a separate addon. We showed you part of the functionality available in this mod on the screenshots, but you can fully experience most of the items and innovations by installing the addon in your build. The Rediscovered developer still updates the product and adapts it for new Minecraft versions, integrating some new options.
