Amethyst armor blocks 84% of damage when fully equipped, and to cut a long story short, this set protects you by 25% better. The new types of gems look amazing. Compared to diamonds, it stands out for its heart-shaped, and the color palette is very fascinating, too. Black opal

Black opal is a more expensive and durable material in the game, which you can only mine with an amethyst pickaxe. That is, the player will first have to find amethyst ore, process it, craft all the necessary tools, and only then they can go to look for the black opal. It’s found in the game world 16 times less often than diamonds, but it’s 100% more effective than the latter. At the same time, it has another important feature – endless durability! If you craft a sword from black opal, you can be sure that it does twice as much damage as a diamond sword. By the way, in one of the latest versions, the developer of Ores Above Diamonds added the ability to search for ores in the Lower World and in the Edge. However, you can disable this option in the settings if you don’t like it. This is done to motivate all players to visit other Minecraft dimensions more often and dig different types of blocks there. However, the value of the materials (black opal and amethyst) will decrease, as users will be able to find ores more often and use them in the future to craft armor, tools, and weapons.
