What locations do you most often visit in Minecraft? It could be a Nether fortress, an End island, underwater temples, bastions, and many other options. But when it comes to trading, resources can only be exchanged in a village of peaceful villagers and with the wandering trader with a llama. If you don’t have enough such places, we recommend adding separate mods to diversify the list and add even more interesting locations in the game. In this material, we talk about one such addition so you can diversify standard gameplay and expand the list of available territories for resource exchange.
The mod L's Ocean Trader will add a new NPC "Ocean Villager" to the game world, who mainly spawns in the lighthouse (a new structure in the game), appearing mostly on beaches. With them, you will be able to trade for new types of armor, tools, weapons, dishes, and much more. A great chance to try playing with different equipment in the game and fight different mobs. Only first you will need to find this structure, as it does not generate very often. And so that you roughly understand how this whole mechanic works in the game world, in this material we explained and clearly showed all the nuances.
The new trader is called the "Ocean Villager". It looks like a modified NPC that has been slightly altered, but overall it’s the familiar character. By default, he spawns in the lighthouse. And this is already a separate structure, generated mainly in beach biomes. The lighthouse stands out with its appearance and great height. If you end up inside, you will be able to trade with this NPC and simply admire all the beauty. Take elytra with you so you can climb to the highest floor and jump down. If desired, the player can even privatize the territory, and this will not affect the peaceful villager’s behavior in any way.
The NPC will have a separate workstation block (trading block), which is used to assign a profession to a villager. That is, if you craft such items in the game and place them next to the unemployed, they automatically get the status of "ocean villager," which allows you to buy new items. And the list here is actually quite good:
· New armor set (helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots), designed in a turtle style. You will have a full shell on your back, and at the same time all the elements are made with the appropriate textures to maintain this style;
· Sword and axe made of turtle – new items in Minecraft that are used for resource gathering and fighting mobs. The sword has decent stats, and visually these items also look cool. If desired, the user can enchant them;
· New dishes. Now you will have the opportunity to replenish the character's hunger and get additional effects using dishes from the L's Ocean Trader modification. An excellent set for any player who decided to diversify their diet in the game.
The lighthouse randomly generates on beaches, and if you want to use it for your own needs later, you can privatize it using server commands or simply install your own doors if it’s just about regular classic survival. In a normal village of peaceful villagers, players can reassign professions and get the "Ocean Villager," for which you only need to place the corresponding block. We added the recipe for this item in this material to make it easier for you to understand all the intricacies of how this expansion works. Overall, a decent functionality expanding the standard features of the game and vanilla survival.
Inside the new structure, the player will find not only an NPC, but also additional loot chests that will give you some valuable materials. If you want to somehow diversify your gameplay and explore new locations, then lighthouses are definitely suitable for this purpose. Be sure to buy the new armor set from the villagers, as it is considered unique and will be in demand among players on the server, supporting the overall economy of the project. One of the most interesting and simple mods for adding new structures to the game world, which also adds new villagers, professions, a little loot, and many other innovations.
The developer of the L's Ocean Trader mod periodically adds some content and updates his product, so new versions of Minecraft are released quickly. Try playing with this addition and see how your interaction with NPCs changes. Now you will have to breed 1 more villager if you are artificially creating a full population of all professions, in order to then trade with them, get discounts through infection and curing. In general, it can be concluded that this mod is suitable both for vanilla survival and for playing with various mods if you have separate modpacks or single modifications installed in the game, allowing you to diversify the game.
