In the vanilla world of Minecraft there are many different hostile creatures: creepers, zombies, pillagers, and many other options, but over time the player literally “clicks” through each of them, creates automatic farms, has powerful armor and weapons that allow him to kill any creatures as quickly as possible. As a result, the gameplay no longer captivates as much, familiar actions turn into routine, and you want something new. Familiar situation, isn’t it? Right away you want to download some small mod to diversify the list of mobs in the game and add interesting creatures to the game world. And if you are reading this review, then you are on the right path.

The Mutants and Zombies modification adds several new types of creatures, which belong to the category of mutants and zombies. Each of them has a detailed appearance, high-quality textures, interesting behavior animation, unique characteristics, and other distinctive features. There aren’t many creatures, but the developer paid maximum attention to each one so that it has its own battle mechanics, and players cannot just kill it easily. If you lack variety in the vanilla world, but at the same time don’t want to install some global mods with mobs, then this option is perfect in that case. The main difference of this mod from all the others: here there are only a few mobs, but at the same time all of them are as detailed as possible, both in terms of behavior and characteristics, as well as appearance. You will have spawn eggs available in creative mode, and if you want to test and look at each one, you can use this option. We briefly reviewed each of them, but so far the developer continues to make changes to mob behavior, characteristics, and adds new entities to the game world. They are completely different from the vanilla options you are used to seeing in the normal mode…

New mobs in Minecraft:

· Zombie Brute – a huge mob that can kill literally in a few hits. You will be frightened not only by its strength, but also by its appearance, since the creature is simply enormous in size;

· Crawler – small-sized creatures capable of climbing different blocks. Looks like a frog, only in zombie form, but at the same time these mobs can move quickly;

· Spitter – an unusual name for a mob, although it will throw slime balls at the enemy. A funny creature for the vanilla world, which attracts with its appearance and behavior. On its torso you will see several heads at once, looking in different directions, and this helps it navigate in any biome as quickly as possible;

· Blister Zombie – a very strong creature, which looks like a tank in its appearance. At the same time, the mob has a rather unclear shape, and you need to come close to fully examine its textures;

· Split Head Zombie – fast and strong variants of zombies in Minecraft, which are capable of moving as quickly as possible through any biomes, while inflicting decent damage on the enemy;

· Mutant Brute – another variant of a strong mob in the game, which in part looks like a “tank” (Zombie Brute). Only it is very long in size, and represents an even more enhanced version of the creature.

Depending on the version of the mod you are using, different mobs will be available in the game. The developer periodically updates his product, so it is quite possible that by the time you read this material, new updates with new creatures will already be released. All of them are as detailed as possible, have unusual textures, high-quality and smooth animation, specific characteristics, but do not really give any loot, so at the moment they are mainly used only for battles and gaining experience. If you are lacking in massive battles, but at the same time don’t want to install some global add-ons, then you can quite try playing with Mutants and Zombies.

In creative mode you will have spawn eggs available, with which you can quickly summon any creatures from this add-on. If you play in survival mode, then you will encounter them with a certain probability in different biomes, however there is no exact information about spawning. They may randomly appear in forests or savannas and other Minecraft biomes. Overall, this turned out to be a good mod that allows you to diversify the list of mobs in just a couple of clicks, but without spending dozens or even hundreds of hours studying new content.

The mod settings provide the ability to change the spawn of any mob, and you yourself choose under what circumstances they spawn, whether they will appear at all in the game world or not. Available for almost all popular loaders. If this is not particularly important to you (spawn conditions), you can leave the default values, and in this case all mobs will appear in different biomes.
