What types of dishes or products do you use in Minecraft to restore your character’s health and hunger? For example, some players prefer to take plenty of bread because it’s very easy to craft and wheat is simple to grow on plantations. Many players on multiplayer servers carry golden carrots since they can be traded almost endlessly with villagers if you trade with high-level farmers. Golden apples help in battles, and for important PvP, you can even take an enchanted golden apple. There are many options, but new mods are constantly being released for the game, expanding the available food options.

The More Food xD mod adds a wide variety of food items that can be crafted from valuable materials. For example, you’ll find foods made from diamonds, iron, and emeralds, and these items restore much more health while also granting additional effects (health regeneration, protection, and more). So now you’ll have a much greater variety of dishes and products, though crafting each item can be expensive (you can see some of the recipes in the screenshots even before downloading the mod). Ready to try something new?

This mod adds many new dishes and ingredients that were not in the game before. For example, you can now grow rice to later use in crafting different types of sushi. Rice can be found in the same way as wheat by breaking grass in regular biomes. With some luck, you’ll get seeds that you can plant and farm for your first harvest. Thanks to rice, players will be able to make plenty of sushi, cook several new soups (including kelp soup), and even in vanilla gameplay, these are important recipes because kelp now gets additional uses in other crafting recipes.

Most food items in the More Food xD mod require valuable materials for crafting (emeralds, gold, iron, diamonds). The recipes are expensive, and not every player will be able to make these dishes regularly, but in critical situations, they are incredibly useful, granting regeneration and other important effects. As a result, you’ll not only restore your health but also gain several beneficial effects. In battles against mobs or players, this support is extremely valuable. To view all recipes and detailed stats, it’s recommended to use JEI and related add-ons to check the information for each food item.

This mod adds dozens of new dishes and food items to Minecraft: enhanced soups (for example, carrot or apple soups), along with many other vegetable- and fruit-based recipes. The developer also included kelp, which is used in regular crafting as well as in creating unique foods from gold, diamonds, and other valuable resources. If you’ve accumulated a lot of ingots, you can use them to craft various foods that can give you an edge in combat. Crafting such items all the time may not be practical, but in critical situations where you need to restore health quickly and activate multiple beneficial effects like HP regeneration, these foods are a lifesaver.

You’ll have access to a range of products that you can craft from valuable materials. These include vegetables, fruits, and different types of meat, giving players a rich selection overall. Another key feature of the More Food xD mod is rice farming. Since rice is used in many recipes, players will need to create full-scale farms to harvest it. As mentioned earlier, rice is obtained by breaking grass, so the mechanic is identical to vanilla Minecraft. With this, you’ll have far more options: while wheat mostly leads to bread and cakes, rice opens up a variety of soups and sushi recipes.

This is an excellent way to quickly diversify the list of available foods and try something new. Rice is very easy to grow, and you can even use bone meal or advanced pots from the Botany Pots Tiers mod to speed up the process. Be sure to create an automated farm to save time on repetitive tasks. That way, you can guarantee a large supply of produce while focusing on other important things. In this article, we’ve shown just a portion of the available recipes: in reality, there are dozens more, so once you’ve reviewed the details, it’s time to install the mod and explore all of its possibilities yourself.
